Shri Narendra Modi, then chief Minister of Gujrat, visited the historical palace on 25 November 2013. He visited the Ashrama temple and the Diwankhana. He took much interest in the ongoing restoration work and the Vivekananda Museum project. He expressed his willingness to come again after the completion of the project.

Shri Ashok Gehlot, the ex-Chief Minister of Rajasthan, commenced the project by his visit to the palace on 4th October 2011. He contributed through the Government of Rajasthan Rs 1.5 crores to the Project.
